Minecraft Forge: The All-in-One Guide for Everyone

1. What is Forge?

Minecraft Forge was created in November 2011, by Eloraam of Redpower and SpaceToad of Buildcraft, and it’s built based on ModLoader, with many more features and advantages compared to its predecessor. 2. How to Download and Install Minecraft Forge

Before installing Forge, please make sure that your computer has Java's newest version installed. Otherwise, the Forge installation won’t run at all. Then just simply follow these steps below to install Forge:

1. Click the Download button at the bottom of this article.
2. Make sure to choose the right version you want to install. In this case I will choose Minecraft's newest version, which is 1.18.1
3. Your file should be downloaded
4. Choose “Install Client”, then click OK and wait for a few seconds
5. Now you’re done installing Forge. Next just start your Minecraft game and remember to choose the Forge profile instead of a normal version profile. And you should be good to go!

3. Press Window + R, type in %appdata%, and press Enter
4. Go to the .minecraft folder, then mods folder, then just simply put all of your downloaded Minecraft mods above into this folder.
5. Restart Minecraft, remember to choose the correct Forge version.
6. Enjoy your mods!
